We’ve expanded our team
Fernite of Sheffield Ltd are pleased to announce some changes to our management team.
Being a great UK manufacturing business requires investment – not just in technology and processes but also in our team, bringing in the best people with the talent and passion to provide our customers with the solutions they need.
As we have grown as a company we have taken the decision to expand and restructure our management team, with two new specialist roles to drive forward our ambitious factory improvement plans.
Marc Horner will take on the new role of Group Technical Manager – with responsibility for optimising our processes, cutting production leadtimes and making the best use of our technology across all four divisions of our business, including responsibility for introducing new technology to the factory.
I am delighted to announce that Martin Hartley has joined Fernite’s management team in the new role of Group Operations Manager, taking responsibility for the running of the factory, managing our operations staff and working closely with Marc to cut leadtimes and introduce further lean manufacturing techniques to improve our service while maintaining the quality our customers expect.
Martin has a distinguished track record in factory management, having taken charge of operations at one of the UK’s most innovative and successful manufacturers. As well as a wealth of expertise in production management, Martin also brings with him a knowledge of the machine knife sector and a real passion for developing quality products and getting the best out of his workforce.
It’s an exciting time for Martin to join the team at Fernite. With a successful 2017 behind us we are looking forward to making further investment in our processes in the coming months – enabling us to solve more of our customers’ cutting problems and offer the best products on the market, made in the UK with a friendly service.
